Alabama law requires a fingerprint criminal background check for each applicant who has not completed an application with the Alabama Massage Therapy Licensing Board (AMTLB) since June 1, 2024, when the new statute creating the AMTLB took effect. If you have completed a fingerprint background check with the AMTLB and maintained active licensure status since June 1, 2024, you are not required to complete another.
