We are pleased to announce that renewal is reopening June 22, 2024. Please note that the board has adopted an entirely new AMTLB Administrative Code, which is now in effect as nine emergency chapters. Please read and familiarize with these rules, as they include significant changes, such as requiring fingerprint background checks for all applications, including renewal. These changes were required by the new Massage Therapy Statute, Chapter 43A of Title 34 of the Code of Alabama. The emergency and proposed rules are available here: Proposed Rules.

STATE OFFICES CLOSURE – JULY 4
The offices of the Alabama Massage Therapy Licensing Board will be closed on Thursday, July 4 for Independence Day. We will reopen on Friday, July 5.
